Arabist (1905-1995)

Born in Madrid in 1905 and studied in his hometown of Arts. With 21 years he was assistant professor of teaching and in 1927 won a scholarship to study some English-Arabic manuscripts in Egypt, Syria and Mesopotamia.
In 1931 he was awarded the Fastenrath a proposal from the Royal Academy of Language and four years later succeeded by the Chair of Language opposition Arabic at the University of Granada, where he served for 35 years, specifically to the June 4, 1970, when it was received a Doctor honoris causa of the university.
